We arrived at the hotel in Dartmouth, which seems to be a part or suburb of Halifax, early evening, just in time for 3 excited kids to finally go to a swimming pool. Mama and papa had selfishly not booked a hotel with an indoor pool till today. This one had a slide too, so everyone happy. Hotel situated in one of those new-style malls we see lately in the Philly area (eg exton) that have street pattern. Are we really in Canada? Any doubts were dispelled by the check-in girl's accent.
Looking forward to a full day in Halifax tomorrow....uncle Henry's gravestone and the maritime museum, the citadel and the waterfront area. It won't snow like the forecast says, will it?
Just downloaded a great app that John scullin told me about...building titanic...only available for iPads unfortunately. To see photos of the furnaces where uncle Henry worked brings home what tough job his must have been.
