Helen Wow, thought provoking as ever Geoff! The title raised my hackles straight away, but the reality of what you say is somewhat harder to accept. Thank you for your blog!

Biddy Love your vivid accounts. Ray Mears eat your heart out.
Helen Well done ! You did well not to eat any meat....what about the cake?!! Don't forget it's Jubilee w/e - if you have anything with which to celebrate, cheers! - Union jacks are everywhere here. Looks like the weather will be ok too! Great photos!! and an enjoyable read thanks - a bit more relaxed than usual!

re: The best way to stuff a chicken?
Ron looting happens most times due to the bad road conditions, that place is called Mindima
re: Your rice or your life
Moses You make strong statements about a country you barely know! Kevin you should revisit and see how it is. It seems like you are wanting PNG to be a colony again!

re: How much is a good woman worth?
jo thinking of you. May the refreshment of trip away & Gods never ending love carry you through the unsettling times.
re: The best way to stuff a chicken?
Kevin Lock I taught in PNG for some 10 years spanning two periods from the early 1960s and later, up to and after independence in '75. I am saddened that the peaceful, well organised administration of the past is no more and corruption and violence is rife. I have often thought of revisiting PNG, however it is too expensive and dangerous. I had a young VSO fellow as a staff member in the 1970s. I wish you well.
