FYI North American Tour

Calhoun, Georgia

Monday 26 October 2009

First on our list of scheduled fairs this week was Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, Atlanta. After the fair it was only about an hour and a half drive to our next stop - Calhoun, Georgia. Tonight, we are staying with Lance Bolton's sister, Kim, and her husband Todd (Hunt) who live in one of the staff houses on the Georgia-Cumberland Academy campus. Kim loves her animals—especially horses—of which she has at least half-a-dozen (don't quote me). Apart from her own enjoyment, she also takes some of the students for riding lessons and the like. Kim suggested we could go for a ride if we were interested. As it turns out, Rob is mad keen on horses and was itching to get his bum back in a saddle. Me, not so much, in fact I've never ridden one before, but seeing as though the opportunity was there I figured I'd try my luck!

I must admit, it ended up being pretty sweet; Kim took us on a trail ride tour of the whole campus, which covers 500-plus-acres of paddocks, corn fields, forest, creeks and river.
