Bonjour all my names Karly and I'm an alcoholic. Welcome to Dunsborough!
Where to begin............. So got the bus from bunbury to dunsborough with a hangover! (When will I learn wine is not my friend)! Checked into the hostel our room had the view of the seafront which was awesome. Then 2 days later we were moved to a room with a view of the car park as that room is for guests who are only staying short term! NICE!!
We are literally in the middle of nowhere so boredom began to set in and Charlie took up smoking because she was either going to kill herself or I was going to do it for her! Since that first cigarette she has not looked back nor have I wanted to kill her ;)
We made some friends here 2 German girls Eva and Jess and 3 English lads from Manchester Tom, James and Mike. We spend most of our time complaining about work during the week and then we all get s*** faced on goon at the weekends to pass the time as we are all so bored!
We have had a few entertaining nights one where I was in bed by 8 pm drunk as a fart as at work we don't have any where to pee therefore I decide not to drink so end up very dehydrated and apparently alcohol does not quench your thirst! Who knew! Another night Eva was s*** faced and vomited on Mike (this was hilarious because it wasn't us and we r that bored). Another night the hostel was packed including some d*** with a newborn baby! And a family with about 6 kids. Seriously who brings babies and children to a hostel! Aussies are weird and apparently new zealanders. I was chatting to this guy from new Zealand seemed relatively normal was here with his wife then out of nowhere rubbed my leg then he started on Tom then he rubbed Charlie's leg and toes so we basically ran off back to our room but we realised we had left the weirdo with James. Tom Charlie and I decided to hatch a plan to rescue James from (as we called him) tennis racquet hands (the weirdo was a unit) as we were about to rescue James he waltzed round the corner and said "alright" completely unaware of the danger he was in. The weirdos r following us! Tennis racquet hands has now checked out so all is well. And then there was the night i almost broke my toe fighting Tom. Its not broken but still very swollen and sore so who knows what i have done, but we are all still getting s*** faced!
Finally found work which we started a few weeks ago planting trees and plants (approx 1200 a day) in the rain which is soooooo boring but the boss is quite hot so that gets me through the day! We will apparently start pruning in a couple of weeks. I will let you know how that goes. We were given chardonnay from the big boss who is a k*** for working in the crappy weather. Drank it this weekend it's official he hates us it tasted like wee it was awful!!
Not a lot happening other than work and drinking. We have played drinking games to death and are all slowly losing the will to live through boredom and rain so if anyone has any ideas what we can all play/learn in 3 months to pass the time please let me know!
