2-Day Margaret River Wine Experience Tour from Perth
Bonjour all :)
So got our flight to Perth which all went well. Then got a bus to our hostel which hadnt seen a hoover in many years luckily got a twin room for some peace although that did not work out as you had the piss heads going on til 4am then you had the workers up at 4.30am banging around. So we decided to look elsewhere for a hostel. This was a mission as all hostels in Perth were fully booked except the Rainbow lodge, so obviously we booked that one. Got a taxi to it and arrived at a building fenced off with a sign saying CLOSED DUE TO ASBESTOS! Happy days where the hell are we going to sleep. Luckily I had the hostels number and rang them they had moved just round the corner! The relief on our faces was priceless! Arrived, booked in and shown to our twin room, unpacked then a chinese dude walks in our room. My face must have said it all as he responded to it "Did reception not tell you, this my room" pointing to a door in our room. Obviously I thought I should check this so went to reception and said "There is a man whos room is attached to ours, he goes through ours to get to his. Is that right"? her reply like I was mental "Yes" my "reply Right , ok then"!! And that was how we came to have a room with a man living in the cupboard!! Luckily he was ok and he came into the room for the first time when we were not changing!! The hostel was a s*** hole and we basically slept on the slats of the bed as the mattress was as useful as tissue paper for a mattress! It was a piss head hostel too so no sleep for 4 nights!
We then got a bus to Bunbury a little seaside town in a nice hostel with nice people and decent mattresses. We have watched alot of beautiful sunsets, spent lots of time on the beach and went to a beautiful wildlife park where we hand fed birds and kangaroos. Charlie almost wet herself when we were walking through the second aviary and a bird landed on my head. She was gutted she didnt have her camera out but as she got it out and I removed the bird from my head another one landed on my head! I am now the bird lady!! Feeding the kangaroos was really good they are so cute. The older ones have soft fur and the babies fur is more coarse. Then today after everyday going to Kamboona Bay to try and spot dolphins we saw one it was AMAZING and by far the best day we have had yet. It literally swam 1 meter from us a wild dolphin!!! I was in awe like a little girl saying did you see it Charlie did you get a picture!!! AMAZING DAY! Then a woman who seemed very friendly stopped and chatted to us, although she made a bee line for me and began asking if we were local or travelling and where we were from then literally out of nowhere "I speak the lords tongue" I had nowhere to go the whole time in my head im screaming Jesus Christ!!!!! I just wanted to watch the dolphin and I attracted the crazy lady! I swear I am a magnet for the loonies!! She continued about God and speaking the tongue for 5 minutes, Charlie continued to take pictures of the boats as the dolphin was lucky enough to escape her! I had to listen to her crap and seeing as she was a bit old and I was taught to respect my elders I just had to stand there and smile while cursing in my head. Then she left and the dolphin came back and sadly folks I cannot speak the tongue but a wild dolphin swam right next to me so whos the winner!!!! This world is full of crazies and they follow me!!
Tomorrow we are heading to Dunsborough in the hope to find work either winery or farm work. So I will keep you posted. The hostel in Dunsborough is right on the beach it looks lovely :)
Ciao for now
