We woke up and went to Ipanema to find a hostel (we could only stay there for one night). We followed the guide and went to one street full of them not far away from the beach. Got there and all were full... Kept on walking and asking and managed to find a cheap one in the neighborhood.
Buffet lunch with Bobo de camarao!! And we were ready to walk around in the beach and feel the life over here...

Agua de coco, caipirinhas, tanned bodies and great views. This beach has s different vibe with no doubts...
Bikini on and we enjoyed the same as the families there spending their Saturday afternoon :)

Back at the hostel we picked up our tickets for....... The sambodromo!!! The last parade of carnival with the best escolas de samba and the winner of the year! totally unexpected this was the best night of the whole journey!!! Color, music and lots of feathers!!! We were in the middle of Brasilians who knew all the songs and new how to samba as I've never seen!!! A feeling it's hard to describe but I highly recommend it to everyone!! A once in a lifetime experience not only for the parade but for the environment around you and the people... Beleza!!! from 19h until 3h something with caipirinhas and lots of beer and really nice people around us!
