On Monday 18th June we all woke up early and made our way over to Jiaxin Xishan Primary School for the Raising of the Flag Ceremony. The whole of the school were there. We stood on the steps, facing all the school children. There was a band playing music and children marching. One of the Chinese boys pulled a string and the Chinese flag rose up high in the sky. Saturday Today we went with some of the Chinese pupils to Baomo Gardens. We walked around and saw lots of interesting stuff like fish and statues. We got to buy things as well! We came back to the hotel for lunch and invited the Chinese kids to our rooms. We had our lunch together and played games - it was great fun! Today was awesome! Right from the moment we got up (which was very early). We had a yummy breakfast, then went straight to Jaxin Xishan Primary school where we started off in a dance class where we learned a traditional dance. Then we went to a calligraphy lesson which was really fun. We learnt how to hold the brushes properly and how to draw 4 Chinese symbols. I'm so excited, we are just landing in Doha! After a couple of hours we have finally got on a plane to China! We are half way through our journey. It's not very comfortable and we have to go to sleep; no games, books, talking or TV!! WE MADE IT TO CHINA!! Despite the unusual smells we are now the other side of the world! By Cydney & Chisom
