Small-Group Kochi Bike Tour
Last night at Calungute was a little sad as we had to say goodbye to a lot of very nice people.
However Adventure must move forward.
Got up at 4am for an hours trip to main Airport then had to fly back to Mumbai 1 hour, to then fly 2 hours south to Trivandrum. We took JetAirways for the first time and they were OK, we changed aircraft at Mumbai and they managed to transfer of luggage to arrive safely with us, that was a relief for both of us.
Arrive safely at Trivandrum and met by resort driver for the short trip to the resort beach.
Presented with flower garland thing when we arrived and a coconut with a straw in. Looks like they went to a lot of trouble, only thing is Chelly not too keen on the coconut milk.
Then the surprise we were showed to our beach villa, we have a view of paradise from our room and it's like nothing either of us have seen so far. See photos.
Pretty tired but managed to go to the local supermarket by tuk tuk to stock up on the normal, bananas, crisps and chocolate. C asked the driver where he could get some squid for fishing the guy understood and took us off down this rough track in the middle of nowhere and there was a fish wholesale place. They had masses of stuff and we have never seen king prawns so big. C bought a kilo of squid for a pound and we came back to resort. Looks like we have made friends with another tuk tuk driver his name(well it sounds like) Shabby. Oh and Chelly found some red bananas, we will let you know how they taste.
C had to have a fish this evening and as soon as he cast out he had a small reef bass, sea got bit choppy so that was the last one today but he's planning to go out early tomorrow morning while Chelly sleeps.
Pool looks very nice, bit cold this evening but Chelly hopes for sun tomorrow then she can try it out properly!
There's WiFi here but only in reception, not in the room. So we will upload photos later.
Looks like the resort is alcohol free, that doesn't seem to bother either of us as fruit juice is amazing and all freshly squeezed.
