Incorrect. You were first in New York aged just less than 2, where you learned in 0.0003 nanoseconds that the word for biscuit was "cookie" (in Bloomingdales, I reckon). You put your first sentence together very shortly afterwards (I think it was probably something like: "me want cookie please"; plus ca change.....)

...just landed back in Blighty. Weather awful as usual for England in high summer. Did Mum tell you about the Gypsy Kings on the beach?
I have 12 separate flights planned for August so I reckon I'm travelling (even) more than you are!
I presume the connections must be rather bad in Guatemala.....?

Hey Lex,
Been looking at your blog - looks like you have had a great time. I hear you are meeting up with T - I hope he finds you a suitably FF rated dinner. Will I be seeing you at Alice's on sat???
If not, lets catch up when you're back

Have you been saving your photos to disk in case your camera should get nicked?

The diving sounds great - very envious. What qualification have you attained? (NAUI, BSAC, etc?).
on another matter I bet I am racking up airmiles faster than you are....today Kuwait, Saturday London, four days later Kuwait again for the day and then France.... what an exciting (or do I mean exhausting?) life.....
Did Mum tell you I sleep in the car?

Oh I so want to fly over and join you tucking into some Pho and banana pancakes - they sound amazing! I'll trade you cabbage and borsch if you like? I have been reading your blog fastidiously over the past few shifts and, as a result, have repeatedly been told off by the cameramen for chuckling out loud and inappropriate moments. Where do you venture off to after Vietnam? xxxxx

Well, I've tried to take up the 'Jade' challenge, assuming it was aimed at me :) But I'm sorry to say I have failed completely.... All I can tell you is that it is indeed a green vegetable served commonly in Hong Kong, although also in China, and indeed commonly served with ginger, as you had it. But without looking in vegetable encyclopedias, I can't find any of it's relatives! But I think the answer is we call it jade over here too, we just never each it! Lots of love xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx

Just a thought....have you considered a career in food journalism?

Yo yo yo - Haven't you been a diligent blogger! Now I have something else to fill my eyes with. How long have you got in Seoul?
Preps for SA are coming along steadily - think we may even have found a house! Fancy a stop in J'burg on your way back home?
